If you’re looking to learn what gets you grooving through a teaching style that matches your learning style, give Harry at Funder a try. As someone who loves various genres and has a learning style Harry isn’t too familiar with, I know firsthand how accommodating he can be. However, that doesn’t mean he will go easy on you; Harry does his own homework to make sure I understand in my way and learn what I want, but also pushes me out of my comfort zone. Harry is an instructor who wants his students to not only enjoy music, but also grow to develop their own musical sense and style. While Funder is not conveniently located for me, the school has a relaxing yet focused vibe that makes the commute worth it (I live in NT East!). You know you’re there for music; whether you’re there to learn, to jam, or to record, you know you’re there because you love or you’re curious about music. The set up, the instruments and equipment, the interior design…you know you’re at a school, but it feels homey and relaxing, which helps put you at ease to in order to do your best.

Harry has been my two kids’ guitar teacher for 6 years, taking them from beginners to Grade 8 level - one in acoustic, one electric. He is reliable and trustworthy. He works for the best of the students, and his honest teaching style has made us very comfortable (both kids and parents) over the years. I remember in the old days when the kids were small, Harry was very patient with them, and would search for all the suitable pieces to keep the kids engaged. His strong technical skills, up-to-date knowledge and practical sharing as a stage performer, have all been very effective to speed up learning and inspiring interest - with no learning pressure (to both kids and parents). As the kids have grown in both age and level, Harry has accommodated their developing appetite. As such, the kids have sharpened their technical skills above and beyond their comfort zone. The kids still have lessons with Harry as he continues to help with mastering their skills. We love his new studio, a cosy mix of near everything you would need - experienced tutors, extensive choice of instruments, comfortable practise area, well-equipped band room, and more. It’s an ideal place to develop and explore music for students of any age. As my kids said “Harry is a well-versed teacher we highly recommend”.

If you are looking for a place to jam, to record, to practise drums, piano or any instrument. You may find the right place. Funder feels modern and “THIS IS COMFY”.
